La Mer Nordique holds monthly photo walks where a group of photographers get together and explore different areas of Gothenburg. In February, instead of our normal monthly photo walk, an exhibition will be held where around 15 photographers will exhibit photos from these walks. I started joining the walks a little over two years ago. Here is a preview of photos that I have taken during the walks. A selection of these photos will be printed and displayed at the exhibition. WEST COAST TO WEST COAST

West Coast to West Coast features photographs of coastal scenes from the west coast of Sweden. The photographs were taken from various locations in 2023 between the months of March and May. Nathan Carl’s parents live in Holland, Michigan and the idea for the project was conceived after frequent visits to Michigan’s west coast. Get a glimpse of what you might find on Sweden’s west coast and see how it contrasts from what you will find here on Michigan’s west coast. The photographs presented were taken using either a medium format (6x6) analog camera or a digital camera. Each photo has been printed on 100% cotton fine art paper.
